ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude — which to buy in 2026
We sell all three, so we have no reason to push one over another. What follows is what our customers tell us after a few months of use.
The short version
- ChatGPT Plus — the safest default. Broadest ecosystem, best voice mode, most third-party tutorials written for it.
- Google Gemini — best value if you already live in Gmail and Drive. The 2TB of storage bundled in is worth roughly half the subscription on its own.
- Claude Pro — the one writers and developers keep renewing. Strongest at long documents and at code.
If you are a student
Gemini, almost every time. The 2TB of Drive storage solves a real problem alongside the AI, and it integrates with the Google tools you are already submitting work through. At 1,899 ETB a month it is more than shared ChatGPT, but you are getting two products.
If you write for a living
Claude. It holds a long document in its head better than the others and argues back when your reasoning is weak, which is more useful than it sounds.
If you are learning to code
ChatGPT Plus first, because the volume of beginner material written against it is enormous, and you will spend less time translating tutorials. Move to Claude once you are working on real codebases.
Shared or private?
Our shared ChatGPT is 999 ETB and private is 2,999. Shared is genuinely fine for most people — you get your own conversations. Take private if you are putting anything confidential in, or if you want it on your own email address permanently.
Buying all three is rarely worth it. Pick one, use it hard for a month, and switch if it is not fitting how you work.
